Melissa first tried yoga during her college years at University of Tennessee but truly “connected” with the practice in 2008 at locally-owned studio in Kona, Hawaii. A lifelong soccer player and recreational runner, Melissa loved the physical challenges in yoga as well as the mind-body-breath connection. Arriving in Park City in 2009, Melissa found herself newly divorced and single parenting; definitely searching to satisfy her physical body, but to also quiet her mind. Upon the advice of a dear friend, she took her first Tadasana class in 2011 and has been a dedicated student ever since. In December 2012, Melissa received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance teaching certification in vinyasa flow at Prana in Salt Lake City. Melissa enjoys music and often uses variety to enhance a dynamic, challenging, and creative flowing sequence.
