Sloane is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and moved to Park City in June of 2013 to work for the Baron Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. She spent most of her life as a competitive athlete, and was a nationally-ranked swimmer in college. She began yoga as a counter to all the weight training and cardio she was doing for competition, but found that it gave her much more than flexibility. Yoga taught her to appreciate her body as a vessel of love and service, more than just a means to athletic success. Now, her passion for stepping on the mat is matched only by her drive to inspire others to do the same! She’s been practicing regularly for eight years, and is in her fourth year of teaching. She has trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa under Phillip Clift, Bryan Kest, and Baron Baptiste. When not teaching, she’s either out playing in the mountains, running, curled up with a good book, or watching football.
