Tara first started practicing Bikram yoga after she moved to the DC area in 2001. She dabbled in various styles until falling in love with power yoga in June of 2012. She attended Level One Bootcamp with Baron Baptiste in August 2012 and completed her power yoga teacher training in April 2013. In the midst of teacher training, she discovered the blend of yoga and weights and loved the increase in strength it brought to her yoga practice. In addition to being a registered yoga teacher (“RYT 200”), Tara is also a certified personal trainer (“CPT”) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (“NASM”), a certified Spinning instructor and has a Pilates mat certification through Quantum Pilates. She is also a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Always eager for more, Tara is currently pursuing additional personal training certifications through NASM and the Muscle Activation Technique Jumpstart Program. Tara moved to Utah in November 2015 and has quickly fallen in love with Park City. When she is not teaching, coaching, or getting her own workout or practice in, you can find her spending time with her 230lb American Mastiff, Sergeant Pickles.
